Tamsin Stuart Art

About the Artist
After a long and happy career in journalism for regional newspapers, I swapped my notebook and pen for a canvas and paintbrush.
I was looking for a statement piece of art to go in our bedroom but everything we looked at just wasn't doing it for me.
Thought I might at some point get round to producing something myself, then one day in July 2017 woke up with a burning desire to paint again.
Creating Wave reignited something in me from my school days that I'd never really given the time to breathe. And I haven't been able to stop since.
Tamsin Stuart Art began in January 2018, when I got my first commission, the same year I became a blackbelt.
I have unleashed my passion and chosen to live it.
When I paint I feel most like myself because it's something that's always been a part of me, something intrinsic to who I am and my sense of self.
Making art is a positive, exciting, challenging yet relaxing experience, a form of expression that helps channel my thoughts and feelings.
I paint whatever catches my eye and inspires me. Often that's something in motion, but if not I enjoy putting my energetic and colourful take on it.
I know what I like to look at and interpret what I see instinctively.
You can often find me dancing round my kitchen, paintbrushes in hand, escaping to my own little world, lost in my creative thoughts, coming up with my latest piece.
I have been a member of Junction 12 Art Group since 2019 and exhibit with them locally throughout the year.
And in 2023 I joined the Sixteen Gallery Online artist community, run by Sixteen Gallery in Cheltenham.
